FAQ
Is there a dress code?
Yes! The dress code is black tie optional. We hope for our wedding to be an excuse for you to wear your formal attire. Tuxes, suits, gowns and cocktail dresses welcome.
Can I add another name to my RSVP that is not listed?
In order to keep to our venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Are children invited?
Unfortunately, due to venue capacity restrictions, we are only inviting the children of our family members (i.e. cousins, nephews, etc). We plan to let our hair down at this event, so we ask that our family members consider this when bringing kids. Please reach out if you have any questions.
How do I get to Visalia?
Visalia sits almost perfectly in the middle of California, so is driving distance from most major California cities. If you are flying in, the closest airport is Fresno International Airport (FAT), which is a 30 minute drive from Visalia. It is a small airport, so you may have to connect from a major airport. If you prefer to fly to LAX and SFO and then drive, you are looking at around 3 hours by car.
I noticed you have two hotel blocks...where should I stay?
Both hotels are great and are under a 15 minute drive from the venue. The Darling is a boutique art deco hotel with a great rooftop bar and restaurant...you will need a reservation far in advanced if you are interested in eating there. Especially for brunch! The Marriott is great for those looking to rack up those Bonvoy loyalty points and who prefer to stay in a chain hotel. We have a large number of guests who will be traveling into town for the wedding, so we did two hotel blocks.
I want to make this trip into a vacation. What can I do in the area for fun?
Good question! Visalia is the Gateway to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. We highly recommend taking the time to visit the parks. For the foodies, the best restaurants in town are: The Elderwood rooftop, Fugazzis, Nash, Vintage Press (Get the roasted baby pumpkin!), Double LL Steak House & Saloon, and Tommys (Get the bread pudding!!!).
Is there transportation to and from the hotel and the ceremony?
Yes! We will have buses and the famous vintage Visalia Trolley providing rides between the hotels and the venue.
Where should I park?
There is ample parking at the venue. Google and Apple maps will direct you to the parking lot.
What will the weather be like?
While we are having an October wedding, it will be hot in the central valley during the day. We are having an outdoor garden wedding, weather permitting.
Can I take photos?
We are having an unplugged ceremony. We have paid a lot of money for professional photographers whom we trust to perfectly capture the moment. We ask that you please respect our wish of keeping phones away during the ceremony, but please take as many reception pictures as you like and use the hashtag #YorbaOneThatIWant, if you're into that!
What color are the bridesmaid dresses?
The wedding parties will be in black.
What if I have more questions?
Please reach out to Brielle or Fonz! You can call, text, or email us at x.
